About Speaker Lada Rudnitckaia is a data scientist on the Evangelism Team at KNIME. She developed a deep interest in data analytics during her bachelor’s program in Mathematical Methods in Economics and while working as a risk analyst. Lada pursued her master’s degree in Social and Economic Data Science at the University of Konstanz, where her focus was on machine learning and natural language processing. How can we enhance students’ learn to learn capabilities and confidence in presentation? Have you thought about involving students and graduates in updating your course syllabus? Come to this talk and learn how The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Potsdam University, Germany have piloted a new learning pedagogy whereby students, teachers and graduates co-create a curriculum via scenario development. We shall discuss the design rationale, the approach, ways to operationalise it, feedback from students, graduates, teachers and more. About Speaker Professor Tsui started his career in industry and joined Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in 1989 after years of academic research in automated knowledge acquisition, natural language processing, case-based reasoning and knowledge engineering tools. His research strengths include cloud-based business innovation and knowledge services. He returned to academia and joined PolyU in 2005 and until 2018 he was the Leader of the Master of Science in Knowledge Management (KM) degree program. He has consulted for many government departments and private organizations in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Brunei. Professor Tsui is an honorary advisor of KM to three HKSARG departments and since 2008, he has been Vice President of the Hong Kong Knowledge Management Society.
